Available checkout limits
- Maximum purchase amount: an upper qualifying order value, no lower than the minimum purchase amount.
- Maximum discount amount: a monetary cap for a percentage order coupon.
- Shipping discount amount: a shipping subsidy on a shipping coupon.
These options apply to order or shipping coupon codes, not shared automatic discounts, product coupons, BOGO, or store credit. Zero or an omitted value leaves the extra limit disabled.
Shopify requirements
Checkout limits require a compatible deployed discount function. The public LoyalTribe app can support them; a custom app requires a verified Shopify Plus store. A development store alone does not satisfy the Plus requirement. If the setup is unsupported, saving should return a configuration error instead of silently omitting the limit.
Test the coupon below, inside, and above its purchase range, and test its combination settings at checkout. A shipping subsidy is different from the maximum shipping price allowed by a free-shipping discount.
